The Book: Yellow Time by Lauren Stringer
Why We Read It: It’s currently fall here in Central New Jersey, possibly a little late for “yellow time”, but we have been watching the leave change colors very closely this year.
What It Inspired: After reading we took a walk around the block to collect yellow leaves. We matched them with yellow paint samples from Home Depot and our Pantone cards. Big Kid wanted to paint a yellow tree when we came home.
The Story: This is a descriptive poem, matched with captivating pictures, describing the time when leaves change yellow in autumn. A perfect introduction to autumn for toddlers who can relate to the activities the children do and the leaving changing colors around them.
